Korean-French Symposium on Chemical Dynamics. 16-18 July 2008
and meals

This symposium is the third of a series of meetings the main goal of which is to stimulate the existing collaborations between Korean and French dynamicists and create new ones. This event is in keeping with the general strengthening of the relations between European and Asian countries and in particular, the cooperation between the KOSEF (Korea Science and Engineering Foundation) and the CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique).

The first meeting was held in Orsay, France, in October 1997, the second in Daejon, Korea, in October 1999, and the third one will take place at the University of Bordeaux I, from 16 to 18 July 2008, in Badiane room of the «Domaine du Haut Carré». Like in the previous editions, most expenses (travel tickets, conference fee, accomodation and meals) will be covered by financial supports from several institutions listed in the «Sponsors» item of the menu.

The Korean Coordinator is Prof. Manho Lim, from the Biophysical Chemistry Laboratory of the Pusan National University (mhlim@pusan.ac.kr) and the French Coordinator is Dr. Laurent Bonnet, from the Institut des Sciences Moléculaires of the University Bordeaux I (l.bonnet@ism.u-bordeaux1.fr).

The general theme of the symposium is Chemical Reaction Dynamics in a broad sense. This fundamental field of research aims at improving our description and understanding of nuclear and electronic motions in the course of chemical processes, the ultimate goal being to predict and control chemical reactivity.
